Title: The Conservation of Atlantic Salmon Habitat
Author: John D. Armstrong
Document Type: Monograph
Annotation: Buckland Occasional Paper, No. 12
Abstract:
This report is one of a series of Occasional Papers providing a permanent record of the annual lectures maintained by bequests from Frank Buckland in 1880 and Fred Smith in 1997. This report has a large body of information concerning salmon habitat, which has been reviewed in components of the scientific literature, some of which is a product of this Buckland study, and listed at the end of the text. These lecture notes provide a summary of some of the key aspects of salmon habitat and give some insights into how the fish use their local environment.
