Title: Lower Nene catchment management plan : annual review September 1996
Author: Environment Agency Anglian Region
Document Type: Monograph
Abstract:
The Environment Agency's principal aim is to protect and enhance the environment as a whole, in order to play its part in attaining the objective of sustainable development and to take a much wider view of environmental regulation and management than was possible for its predecessors. This document details the progress made against those issues identified in the Lower Nene Catchment Management Plan, the Action Plan for which was published by the National Rivers Authority in June 1994. The purpose of this Review is to ensure target actions identified in the Action Plan are achieved and that the Plan still addresses all significant issues in the catchment in an appropriate manner. This report summarises progress made over the past 12 months.
