Abstract:
This Consultation Report is about the West Midlands Stour area. It is the Environment Agency's first analysis of the status of the local environment. This document is divided in two parts: Part I, the Management Plan; and Part II, supporting information. The part II of the Consultation Report is the Environment Agencys proposed management plan for the area. It is an introduction to the work and responsibilities of the Agency and the LEAP process. It explores the resources of the area, and aims to raise our awareness of the environmental issues associated with it. Human activities exert pressures on all aspects of the environment as a whole, and through partnership and integration. This plan provides an opportunity for public involvement so we can all have a say in what happens to our local environment. Part I contains 4 sections on: uses activities and pressures; state of the environment; issues and options; protection through partnership. The part II of the consultation report gives the reader information on the activities and uses which impact on the local environment. The current status of the area is compared with the targets and objectives. This part contains two sections on: uses, activities and pressures; and state of the environment and Appendices.
