Abstract:
This study analyses the development of marine phytoplankton. The objectives of the project were to: Assess and develop an approach to marine phytoplankton sampling and analysis for a variety of needs; Identify and compare the available sampling and analytical techniques, assess their efficiency and comparability. This will enable the selection of suitable methods for use in the Environment Agency Anglian Region for the production of robust data using standard, tested methods; Develop suitable quality control procedures for all aspects so that the data will be checked giving increased confidence in the findings of the surveys.
