Abstract:
This National Rivers Authority report provides information about possible causes of non-compliance with River Water Classification between 1985-1990, river, location and reach length. The main posible causes of non-compliance are: farming activities, sewage treatment works, drought, water abstractions, culverting, eutrophication, septic tanks, industrial discharges, land or road run-off, fish farm effluents, urbanisation, TIP, slow flow, canalisation, blue-green algae, china clay discharge, catchment geology and general pollution.
