Abstract:
This report shows the appendices of the River Deben alleviation of low flows scheme report made by the Southern Science Ltd. The River Deben is a rural river flowing through a boulder clay covered Chalk catchment to the Deben estuary near Woodbridge in Suffolk. It was identified by the National Rivers Authority (NRA) in 1993 on a priority list of 40 rivers where low flows, due to authorised abstraction, were considered a potential problem. This report contains sections on: County Wildlife Site and SSSI data; background fisheries data; background water quality data; pollution incidents records; archive local studies information; MAFF land use statistics and environmentally sensitive areas information; spray irrigation returns; hydrotechnical base flow graphs; southern science flow gauging dta; Mike 11 Cross sectional information; discharge: velocity: depth: calculations.
