Title: Flood protection at Felixstowe
Author: National Rivers Authority Anglian Region
Document Type: Monograph
Abstract:
This brief NRA leaflet describes the Flood protection at Felixstowe. The North Sea, which helps to make the Suffolk town of Felixstowe a popular holiday resort and thriving port, is also its biggest danger. Much of the Southern part of the town, including the rapidly expanding dock complex which includes in excess of six hundred homes and commercial premises is below flood level and at risk of flooding. This brochure contains sections on Town Wall; Manor House Frontage; Landguard Sea Wall; Felixstowe Ferry; Design of New Sea Wall; and Storm Tide warning.
