Title: Code of practice on matters relating to land
Author: National Rivers Authority Wessex Region
Document Type: Monograph
Abstract:
Acquisition of the legal interest will be undertaken only where it is considered absolutely essential and can be fully justified. Adequate tenure should be acquired of land on which new and permanent structures are built. All assessments of compensation require professional appraisal and will be conducted under the control of the Authoritys Estates Officer other than where special arrangements are made by the Authority. It is most important that detailed planning is undertaken and that this includes minimising the diminution in value of the adjacent interests held in the same ownership.
