Title: Saltmarsh management for flood defences : framework report : issue 2
Author: National Rivers Authority
Document Type: Monograph
Annotation: EA additional title info: July 1995
Abstract:
This report develops the framework within which research into saltmarshes, and related areas, is being conducted in the UK. The objectives of each of the major funding organisations are presented, together with their current and proposed areas of research.
The aim is to indicate the interest of all parties concerned, throughout England and Wales. In some research areas significant benefits can be gained from a structured and coordinated approach so that any overlap of work is minimised. Such collaboration is particularly applicable to the funding of saltmarsh research because the costs of working in the marine environment severely constrain what can be achieved within isolated projects.
