Abstract:
A Cross Functional Plan for a particular catchment sets out planned actions for the coming year based on the functional elements of the Catchment Management Plan. In doing this, regard has to be paid to the available resources for the year in question, and the relative priorities of the actions. These actions are then grouped by general activity, namely Monitoring, Regulation and Enforcement, Operations and Improvement. Definition of these terms (for the purpose of this document) are given in Appendix 1. Cross Functional Plans sit alongside our internal Sector Plans which set out planned actions for the coming year for each of the Sectors that make up our West Area. These sectors and the functions they cover are set out in Appendix 2. Each Sector Plan sets out the planned work associated with a specific function across all catchments whilst each Cross Functional Plan sets out the planned work associated with all functions across a specific catchment.
