Abstract:
The Upper Thames forms a unique and attractive part of our national heritage. Together with other water bodies within the catchment, the Upper Thames and its tributaries, are valuable as fisheries and for wildlife conservation, as a source of water for potable supply, and as a resource extensively used for recreation and navigation To realise the potential value and optimise the use of the water environment within this catchment, the NRA will work in partnership with local authorities, environmental groups and other interested agencies. The Upper Thames CMP will provide an important focus for this partnership.
