Title: Bathing water quality survey 1992
Author: National Rivers Authority
Document Type: Monograph
Abstract:
The National Rivers Authority, Thames Region, is responsible for monitoring the three EC designated bathing beaches which fall within the region's boundaries. This document presents the results of the 1992 Bathing Water Quality Survey for these beaches, along with the results from five nondesignated beaches. The Bathing Water Quality Survey samples were collected around high water from the shore. Additionally, in an attempt to determine if microbiological results were influenced by tidal state or sampling position, samples were taken at low water and 200m offshore at high water. These results are also presented. The coliform results from two ancillary beaches sampled on five occasions during the bathing season are included in this document.
