Title: Avon and Erme : action plan : December 1998
Author: Environment Agency
Document Type: Monograph
Abstract:
The Environment Agency was committed to a programme of Local Environment Agency Plans (LEAPs) in order to produce a local agenda of integrated action for environmental improvement. These also allowed the EA to deploy their resources to best effect and optimise benefit for the local environment. LEAPs help us to identify and assess, prioritise and solve local environmental issues related to our functions, taking into account the views of our local customers. LEAPs replace the Catchment Management Plans which were produced by the former National Rivers Authority and build on their success by covering all the Agency's functions. This LEAP Action Plan has been produced following consultation on the Rivers Avon and Erme LEAP, Consultation Report (january 1998).
