Title: Fishing in the South
Author: National Rivers Authority Southern Region
Document Type: Monograph
Abstract:
The Southern Region of the NRA offers freshwater anglers a wide variety of sport with noted river and Stillwater fisheries in Kent and Sussex, salmon and trout in the Hampshire chalk streams and sea trout throughout the Region. Details of day permit waters and general information for anglers are included in this guide to help you find the water of your choice. The NRA, as guardian of the water environment, is responsible for maintaining, improving and developing fisheries. This work requires the active involvement of the public we serve, it is only by working together that we can achieve the results we are seeking. In all aspects of its fisheries activities, the NRA is guided by a statutory Regional Fisheries Advisory Committee, whose members contribute knowledge and experience in a wide variety of issues which affect fisheries. In addition to this central forum, the Southern Region operates three County based Fisheries Advisory Committees covering Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Sussex and Kent.
