This guide, produced by the Soil Survey and Land Research Centre (SSLRC) and the British
Geological Survey (BGS), is designed to be used with the series of 1:100 000 scale
Groundwater Vulnerability Maps which form part of the National Rivers Authority (NRA)
Groundwater Protection Policy. The generic information contained within this guide
supplements the local information provided on each map legend so that the map user is
provided with a clear understanding of the scope and limitations of the data presented.
