Title: Water resources strategic scheme development options : technical overview
Author: National Rivers Authority Thames Region
Document Type: Monograph
Abstract:
This report summarises work carried out in association with consulting engineers Howard Humphreys and Partners and environmental consultants Cobham Resource Consultants during 1991 and 1992. The scope of work towards this report, essentially a desk study, was to identify and appraise all engineering
schemes which could be included within a strategy for the region to such a degree that schemes could be developed when necessary or scheduled in the light of successes in demand management and or changing demand forecasts. The report concentrates on the identification of potential engineering
schemes, capital costs and environmental issues. Two further reports will follow on the question of need and the role of demand management, and on water resources strategy for the region.
