Abstract:
The National Rivers Authority is charged with the duty of improving the quality of the Water Environment. The Authority is a public body which came into being in September, 1989. The NRA operates through a Board and National Head Office. The Anglian Region is one of ten Regional Units. This report describes trends in water quality and the key events which happened in 1990 in the Anglian Region. This year we have continued to build on the organisation of the Region within the context of our new national identity and objectives. At the same time, we have maintained continuity with past activities and helped to develop and implement policies which will address our future tasks.
