Abstract:
This report presents an analysis of benthic macroinvertebrate samples. Included in the report is a section on the important of habitat to macroinvertebrates and factors affecting macroinvertebrate distribution. Methods of data analysis are discussed. The second section provides information on sampling the benthic macroinvertebrates and data analysis, such as sampling and species identification, data analysis, results of habitat related data analysis and results of river zone data analysis. The third and final section presents the distribution of benthic macroinvertebrates within habitats and zone of the river Delph between 1989 and 1990. References are also included.
