Title: A change to your licence and the environment : key facts about Anglian region
Author: Environment Agency Anglian Region
Document Type: Monograph
Abstract:
This Environment Agency booklet aims to describe changes in licencing terms in the Angian Region. ON 1 APRIL 1996 the National Rivers Authority, Her Majesty's Inspectorate of Pollution and the Waste Regulation Authorities combine to form the Environment Agency for England and Wales. When the Agency starts work on 1 April, it will provide a more comprehensive approach to the protection and management of the environment, and will be one of the most powerful environmental regulators in the world. From the 1 April you will no longer receive bills, licences, permissions or correspondence from the NRA, HMIP or the Waste Regulation Authorities. Instead the Environment Agency, Anglian Region will issue these and deal with you on all matters, previously the responsibility of one of the partner organisations. The Environment Agency is committed to dealing with customers in a clear, effective and professional way and has developed dedicated customer service departments to deal with complex enquiries from day one. This leaflet has a map of the new Anglian Region and the contact numbers for the Regional and Area offices.
