Title: Ichthyophthirius multifiliis
Description: The ciliated parasite Ichthyophthirius multifiliis, more commonly known as white spot. Size can vary up to 1mm in diameter and the light horseshoe shaped nucleus can often be seen. There is only one species recognised and this image shows an unstained, live specimen examined through phase contrast microscopy.
