Title: Cucullanus truttae male spicule
Description: This image shows the everted needle shaped spicule of a male of the Cucullanus truttae species. Spicules are characteristic copulatory structures of male nematodes and can be useful in distinguishing species as they differ in size, shape and number (most nematodes have 2).
